LAB/DIAGNOSTIC RESUTS

GETTING YOUR LABS DONE

  • All labs should be done fasting unless otherwise stated by your doctor (Fasting means not having any food or drink except for water at least 8 hours prior to blood work, you are okay to take your medications unless told otherwise).
  • Lab orders expire after 3 months (Doing labs promptly is recommended).
  • Lab orders are done electronically (You do not need a paper copy of lab order. They will be in the computer system when you arrive at the lab).
  • We do not use "standing orders". (This means you need to have an order placed by your doctor before going for blood work. If you are not sure if an order is in the system, please call our office prior to going to the lab.)
  • You have many options of facilities where your laboratory studies may be performed.
  • Please check with your health insurance company and your health care provider to determine where your labs will be performed.

    GETTING YOUR LAB & TEST RESULTS

    • Foothills Family Care will notify you of all lab & radiology results within 10 business days
    • We use Med Voice to communicate many results
    MEDVOICE

    • You will receive results by using the Med voice Messaging System.
    • You will receive a voice mail message from Med voice indicating that you have a message from your physician.
    • To retrieve your message call (480)425-1956
    • Your PIN number will be a 9 digit number that you chose when filling out you new patient information packet. If you do not know you PIN number please call the office at 480-785-4775 option #3.
